Zoll AED Plus Defibrillator
There are several types of Zoll defibrillators out there so which one is right for your needs?
By far the most popular defibrillator is the AED Plus. The AED Plus comes with CPR-D-Padz, QTY 10 Duracell 123A type lithium manganese dioxide batteries, a sot carry case, and as much as 7 years of warranty.
The CPR-D-Padz have a shelf life of 5 years before the adhesive backing goes bad and then the pads need to be replaced. Most pads in the industry are only good for 2-3 years but Zoll has a longer shelf life. The pads the AED+ come with are for adults. You will need to purchase pediatric pads as the are not included.
The Duracell 123A lithium manganese dioxide batteries have a shelf life of 10 years if unused or 5 years within the device. These are readily available batteries in the market which is better than some brands that have proprietary, expensive, batteries. The AED Plus has a self diagnosing battery check that will tell you when the batteries need to be replaced.
The soft carry case is good for simple transport but it is not weatherproof. The best way to store the AED Plus is in a wall mounted container that will protect it from the elements.
The AED Plus has a 5 year warranty. There is an additional 2 year warranty available after registering the device with Zoll.
